sick sick sick part deux
After our bouts of sickness that week, we all thought that things are better but then ichi started having stomach pains about two weeks later. At first we thought that it was just ulcer, he even went to the GP (general practitioner) and she prescribed ulcer meds. When he went back to the GP the following day to complain that the pain still hasn’t gone away and that it went down from the stomach area, she (the GP) immediately referred him to a surgeon. So we immediately went to have him checked and found out that he needed to have his appendix removed. The CT scan showed that his appendix was already inflamed so the doctor immediately ordered him to be admitted and operated on in the afternoon. Good thing my mom was here and I had help with little boy otherwise I would have had to bring him to the hospital with me. The recovery took a bit longer as the wound got infected but finally things are getting back to normal now. Ichi has gone back to work last friday after almost a month off.
