I mentioned in a previous post about the steel buildings being built across the road and just a few hundred meters down another construction is about to start. I guess there is always demand for either dwellings or commercial places that is why you can always see construction sites all around. And I just hope for the day that the construction site that I will see will be a construction site for our own home. Wish wish

stores

I subscribe to a newsletter from a website that offers deals from various baby stores. The most recent newsletter mentioned that a store selling maternity clothes is having its closing down sale. I’ve noticed that in the last few newsletters that I’ve getting that there have been a closing down sale for a store. Most have been online stores but some were brick and mortar ones. I don’t know if its the state of the economy now or the high costs of running a business but it sure seems like the small ones are not surviving.

new building

There is currently steel buildings being constructed just across the road. There was originally a low rise residential building on that lot but it was recently demolished and now they are in the midst of construction. I wonder if it will still be a residential building or will it be a new commercial one? The site is pretty good for commercial purposes as the whole stretch filled with dealerships and stores. I guess we will find out in a few months or so.

flowers

It is really good that there are a lot of deals on sending flowers online. It is much help especially to those of us that are far away from our loved ones. Aside from being able to send flowers to mark certain occasions we can also get good deals and save money. With the times, it is really a must to get the best deals we can.

sleeping

Pine beds would be wonderful for the other room, if and when we can move the kids to their own room. But then a bunk bed would be more practical but most of the bunk beds that I see aren’t made of wood. We’ll see so far they still love staying in our room and although it gets crowded I still hang on to the notion that in a few years time they would start wanting privacy. So maybe I’ll just enjoy it as much as I can while they still love it.

causes

With all the causes that need attention and help in fund raising there sure is no shortage of things or events to do for a fundraiser. One of those would be a golf tournament specifically targeted for those that are gold enthusiasts and want that relaxing weekend on the golf course. They would specially need golf trophies to give away as prizes to the participants, a small token and bragging rights in exchange for the fees and donations that they would give.

dead sea

I was watching TMZ the other day and they showed a picture of model Bar Rafaeli posing covered with mud from the Dead Sea. They say it’s good for your skin because of the different mineral composition of the Dead Sea and from there one the TMZ peeps mentioned that when you put the mud on your skin it burns esp on the private parts. Their discussion was soo funny. Anyways, there are dead sea salt (bath salts) that are being sold and it is pretty popular for its reputed therapeutic effects. I haven’t tried it yet nor do I know anyone who has used the bath salts, for those that have, how good is it?

lip syncing

One type of videos that are pretty popular on the web are videos of people lip syncing to famous songs. One of those that have gained a following is Keenan Cahill, he also got celebrities to duet (still lip syncing of course) with him.

Apart from the state of economy in a country there are also a number of other factors where you can’t work. One of the reason can be from injury or illness that can prevent you from doing work that you would normally do. It is a good thing that here you can get welfare benefits to help you along while you can’t do work to earn income. In the US you can try to apply for SSDI to help you get sorted while you are out of work. There are even companies there that can help you sort out if you are eligible to apply for SSDI or not.

I don’t really know anything about cigars but apparently romeo y julieta 1875 is a good reasonably priced cigar. At least that was what I wast told during one random conversation. I forgot how it came up in conversation because I don’t smoke and I don’t really have any intentions to. I think it was because of something that we watched. Really funny how you end up with topics that you talk about.
