Linsanity

February 16th, 2012

Unless you’ve been living under a rock the past week, you’ve probably heard of Jeremy Lin. It is just amazing and wonderful to hear stories such as his. Kudos to the New York Knicks for giving him a break, I am not well versed in basketball (despite growing up in Manila where basketball is a national treasure) I hardly know the technical terms and stuff but I do know that his talent fits this team and that is why he is able to do what he does. I am not discounting his talent (I have huge admiration for him) but if you think about it if he were in a different team would he be able to shine like this? Anyways, what matters now is he is now a household name and he is proving with every game he plays that he is indeed worthy of all the praise and attention that he has been getting. I also love how he is a Harvard graduate, him being able to finish school and do what he loves is really something that is inspiring. It gives young kids a good role model. Kids like my son, it shows them that you can be able to do things that are not usually identified with Asians and be good at it. Great job Jeremy!
