If you’re on twitter you would surely know what the title of the blog means. If you’re not then it is about Rebecca Black. I was really curious when I saw her name trending and it wasn’t until a day after that I found out why. It was because of this song that she did:

So, what did you think? Apparently a lot of people hated it. Me, well I don’t like it and I certainly don’t hate it but you have to admit that it really is catchy.

Here are some reactions to it:

“If everyone played the ukelele, the world will be a better place.” – Jake Shimabukuro

I was checking out my twitter feed and came across Jake Shimabukuro, he’s from Hawaii and plays the ukelele. What he does on it is amazing, check out the videos for yourself.

Maria Aragon finally got to duet live with Lady Gaga at her concert in Toronto. Lady Gaga saw Maria’s youtube video singing her song Born This Way and tweeted about it. Soon after people were interviewing Maria about it. She guested on a radio show and the show had Lady Gaga phone in, they did a duet and Lady Gaga invited Maria to come to her concert. Have a look:

idols

I’ve watched American Idol I think from the second season onwards and along with that I was able to watch other versions as well (Australian Idol, Philippine Idol and Singapore Idol). One of the singers that I really liked was from Australian Idol, Jessica Mauboy, she ended up runner-up but it is fun to see that from Idol she was able to translate that to a singing career from being in a girl group to now being a solo act. And in interviews it seems like she still is the same sweet girl from Idol (inspite of her image/appearance being so different from then).

Here’s a youtube session interview:

and some videos of her performances on the youtube live sessions 2010:

x factor

The X Factor Australia is currently airing and they’re down to 6 acts for this Sunday’s show. Though I don’t follow the show regularly, my favorite has to be Altiyan Childs. At first I was like why did Ronan pick him but his previous 3 performances really showed that he can be a rock star.
