holiday eating

December 29th, 2011

I find that the past weeks I have added pounds to my weight. Even though our food consumption is not nearly the same as what we would do if we were celebrating the holidays in Manila but still I feel like there has been non-stop eating. And yes I know that I need to do some exercise but really all I want to do is just rest and take it easy while E is still on break from school and there are no activities to bring him to. We can probably use resistance band for some resistance training to help burn those fats. But maybe tomorrow .. for now looking forward to dinner haha!

weddings

July 27th, 2011

We have two weddings in the family next year. And we are so looking forward to going home and witnessing those special occasions. Especially excited too that the kiddos will be part of the entourage. It’s still a little more that a year to go so we haven’t made any definite plans yet. There are a coiple of events that we’d like to do but we’ll see if we can really make it happen. Back to the weddings, I’m not sure if they (the couples) have looked for their rings, they could certainly look at triton wedding bands. Though I am not sure what type of wedding bands they are looking for. If they do already decide to get the rings than that will be one item off the checklist.

bubs

May 19th, 2010

Last year, I had quite a few preggy batchmates. But with all the preps we were doing not just for sab but also with E starting school this year, it was a shame we had to pass on the baby shower invitations that came our way. It would have been fun to join in celebrating the wonderful pregnancy of our friends. It is nice though that we have met the bubs since and all are beautiful I must say. Playdates next?

mum’s birthday

October 20th, 2009

Mum flew in a week before her birthday, I specifically scheduled it that way because her birthday would already mark my 37th week which means that I could give birth anytime. Anyways, on her birthday we celebrated it with a yum cha lunch at hilltop phoenix at castle towers.  We initially intended to have the yum cha at eastwood but then we learned that they had a granny smith festival parade that day and preggy me didn’t want to walk a lot that day. After lunch we walked a bit around the mall and even though it was my mum’s birthday it was E who got presents haha. Talk about spoiling the grandson :p I’ll post what E got (a super early Christmas and birthday present) in another post.

We’re just glad that all our families back home are safe, though there may be material losses but still they are all safe. I wish and pray that all those who are still stranded are rescued and there are campaigns for donations and relief goods that have been setup. You can check out Bianca Gonzales’ blog for a list.

go manny!

May 4th, 2009

I admit I’m not such a big fan of the sport but I can’t help but watch when it comes to Manny Pacquaio. My earliest memories of watching the man in interviews (I think this was pre-Roach) I didn’t like how he came across. But over the last fights he had, I like how humble (compared to other boxers) and unassuming he is in interviews. In yesterday’s fight against Hatton, Ichi and I were in awe with how fast he was, we couldn’t even see the punches. I just hope that he has smarts about him with regards to the money he’s earning now that down the line we don’t hear that he’s squandered all, maybe even follow in De La Hoya’s footsteps (in terms of boxing promotion)? But please don’t go into politics, I really believe he can do more as a private citizen.

canberra weekend pt1

December 26th, 2008

A couple weeks ago we drove to Canberra for the weekend at the invitation of the Molinas. They had planned an early Christmas get-together with their friends there and invited us. As we had been wanting to go for a while now, we didn’t pass up on the invite. Before we went to their home we visited the Australian War Memorial. E had a great time looking at the various items on display. After picking up some food, off we went to the Molinas. It was a fun christmas get together, complete with great company, good food, nice gifts and plenty of laughter.

With all the pics that we’re accumulating, its a good thing we have external hard drives for storage.
