tom cruise at the mtv awards
This is just funny. Tom Cruise as Les Grossman, the lunatic producer he played in Ben Stiller’s movie Tropic Thunder dances with JLo.

Ok, this has already been making the rounds of blogs, twitter and fb. In Glee’s Dream On (season 1 episode 19), in a dream sequence Artie stands from his wheelchair and dances. They do a flash mob to “Safety Dance”. What caught pinoy’s eyes is the background – Jollibee! The leading fast food chain in the Philippines. It was shot in Eagle Rock Plaza in Los Angeles. And apparently, Chow King is just across Jollibee in this mall.
Here’s a screen shot:

This has been making the rounds on the net for a while now and really Michael V is a genius when it comes to this ..
Here’s the spoof of Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance by Michael V on GMA’s Bubble Gang:

One of nice things with technology and the internet these days is that we are able to watch news or shows from home. Home in this case being the Philippines. Aside from being able to catch up on news and what not, it’s nice to once in a while be able to watch teleseryes, sineseryes or whatever they call it nowadays. I admit I watch more of taiwanese or korean series online but sometimes there are pinoy series that catch my fancy. The other day I just started watching Diva which stars Regine Velasquez, Mark Anthony Fernandez and TJ Trinidad. It’s about Sampaguita (Regine) and her trials and journeys to become a singer ( I think haha, I’m only a few episodes in and it has been airing since March). You see she was born ugly but with a great voice but the Regine that was shown at the start of the series is a beautiful one so let’s see how she transforms from the ugly duckling to the swan. The comedy in the show is campy but for some reason I like it
Here’s part one of the first episode…

With the wonderful technology we have now, it is no wonder that a lot of people shooting to internet stardom. Whether it be for a funny thing they do, for a certain talent they have or just something that catches peoples fancy. Recently, one that has been getting media attention is Lin Yu Chun, a Taiwanese boy that performed Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You pitch perfect. He is being referred to as the Taiwanese Susan Boyle, he is now in the US appearing on different talk shows.
Here he is with William Shatner doing Total Eclipse of the Heart ..

For the past two days I’ve been occupied (aside from the baby haha) with watching this series – Autumn’s Concerto.

Blame it on Leng (haha! :p) who I was chatting with the other day about drama series particularly Korean ones for getting me started (well at least for now) again on watching.
This series is from Taiwan and stars Vaness Wu (of F4 fame), Ady An, Tiffany Xu, and Fu Pei Ci.
Synopsis (from mysoju.com):
Ren Guang Xi, a cocky law student, seems to lead the perfect life. He’s the sole successor to a huge and famous business and a talented ice hockey player. But in reality, his lonely life lacks joy, laughter and motivation. That is until he meets Liang Mu Cheng, the new bento seller at his school canteen. Although orphaned at a young age, Mu Cheng does not let her past affect her and lives life with great passion and determination. A harmless bet brings the two together and Guang Xi slowly changes as Mu Cheng teaches him how to give and love. Tragedy strikes when Guang Xi suddenly has to go through a major brain surgery which causes him to lose his memory. His mother begs Mu Cheng to leave him and the latter has no choice but to do so. Little does she know that she already has Guang Xi’s child.Six years pass. Mu Cheng lives a quiet life with her young son in the countryside while Guang Xi is now a successful lawyer and is engaged to He Yi Qian, the kind and beautiful doctor who took care of him after his surgery. A strangely familiar piano piece stirs Guang Xi’s heart as he struggles to recall his past romance with Mu Cheng. How will the couple make up for six years of lost time? Happiness, which stop do I alight at?
I’ve watched until the latest episode and I think it still has about 3 or 4 episodes left. What to watch next? Probably, Boys Over Flower since my mom brought me a dvd.
go manny!
I admit I’m not such a big fan of the sport but I can’t help but watch when it comes to Manny Pacquaio. My earliest memories of watching the man in interviews (I think this was pre-Roach) I didn’t like how he came across. But over the last fights he had, I like how humble (compared to other boxers) and unassuming he is in interviews. In yesterday’s fight against Hatton, Ichi and I were in awe with how fast he was, we couldn’t even see the punches. I just hope that he has smarts about him with regards to the money he’s earning now that down the line we don’t hear that he’s squandered all, maybe even follow in De La Hoya’s footsteps (in terms of boxing promotion)? But please don’t go into politics, I really believe he can do more as a private citizen.

I love Ellen, I just love watching her show, it’s just fun especially all the crazy stuff that they do on the show. For her grammy show, she did this hilarious duet with Josh Groban.
