tv: pretty little liars
One of my new guilty pleasures is watching Pretty Little Liars. I just finished catching up on the episodes and I must say I am hooked. I wonder who A is .. this show is good in making everyone a suspect. We’ll know soon who it is as they will be revealing it on the season finale.

Just recently watched this and it was a good series, with a right mix of funny and touching scenes. Seung-heon is one of the first Korean actors that I knew of what with the popularity of Autumn in my Heart (Autumn Tale) back in 2000. It was one of the Korean series that put Korean series on the map.
About the series:
An ordinary college student, Lee Seol (Kim Tae Hee), finds out she’s a princess. The grandson of Daehan Group, Park Hae Young (Song Seung Hun), is put in charge of educating Seol on proper etiquette. However, Hae Young is put in a precarious situation when he finds himself drawn to Seol, the girl who will take away his inheritance if the monarchy is restored.
Trailer: (sorry, I couldn’t find one that was subbed in English)

tv drama: in time with you
One of my favorite actress is Ariel Lin. And I really enjoy all the characters that she has portrayed so far. It is nice to see her “grow” through her series/films over the years. A few weeks back, I was on a marathon streak for her latest tv series “In Time With You (我可能不會愛你)”.
Here’s a little synopsis from Drama Wiki:
On her 30th birthday, Cheng You Qing received an email on “the symptoms of premature aging” from Li Da Ren, her best friend of 14 years. Unable to accept that Li Da Ren is like a fine wine that will get better with age and she is like a grape that will dry into a raisin as years go by, she made a bet with Li to see who will get married first before they turn 35. As she looked around for a potential husband, she discovered that she was surrounded by unacceptable candidates, like gay assistant or cheating ex-boyfriend. The only man who could love her despite her stubbornness is her best friend. The only problem was that they both swore that they were not or will ever be romantically attracted to each other.

With the end of Playful Kiss, I now looking at another series to watch, this looks good based from the trailer but then I like Ella (of S.H.E) from her previous Taiwan series (eg. Hana Kimi) so I think I’ll give this a go. Here’s an MV:

The X Factor Australia is currently airing and they’re down to 6 acts for this Sunday’s show. Though I don’t follow the show regularly, my favorite has to be Altiyan Childs. At first I was like why did Ronan pick him but his previous 3 performances really showed that he can be a rock star.

Speaking of SYTYCD, on last night’s finale Ellen Degeneres was a surprise guest. She “replaced” Alex on the repeat of his routine with tWitch.

So You Think You Can Dance is one of my favorite shows. The show features in the past the top 20 dancers (the just concluded season only featured top 11 due to the new format which they were paired each week with an all star – contestants from previous seasons) from over thousands who auditioned. [side note: There also is a SYTYCD Australia as well as several other countries like Canada, UK, Greece, Malaysia, Polands, Scandinavia, Benelux and Norway] The level of dancing has always been topped from season to season. This season featured Alex Wong a former principal at the Miami Ballet Company. He gave up his position there to be able to go on the show. He initially auditioned two seasons ago and got to Vegas (the top 100 or so and where they are whittled down to the top 20) but his company didn’t allow him to go on leave to participate in the show. He I think is one of the best dancers the show has ever seen. I was in awe when I watched the routine that he danced with Allison Holker (season 2) – Hallelujah:
But one of the more memorable ones he danced was this routine by NappyTabs with Twitch (Season 4) – Outta Your Mind:
He danced the routine as if he was a hip-hop dancer. From ballet to hip-hop haha! Too bad though because I was really rooting for him to win ( I think a lot were) but then the following week during dress rehearsals he injured himself and it turned out that he lacerated his achilles tendon and couldn’t continue to compete. (I hope he had something like a NC health insurance to cover the operation) He was given a pass to Vegas week for next season, I hope he takes it up. Season 7 saw Lauren Froderman crowned America’s favorite dancer.
