Was reading Toni’s blog and this video caught my eye. It’s really funny. Enjoy!

on the wall

December 17th, 2008

Everywhere we go nowadays there seems to be opportunities for companies to do their advertising, whether it be in the malls, on the streets, on highways, on the sides of buildings it seems people find a way to lease out spaces that before we wouldn’t even think about putting something on. Most of these areas have digital signages on them to make it easier to show any advertisement that you want.

memory upgrade

December 17th, 2008

With a lot of people owning digital cameras these days, it’s not surprising that flash memory cards are getting cheaper and cheaper. I saw an ad the other day for a 4GB SD card that went for less than $20. We’ve been planning to get one to add to the 2GB we already have, so that we don’t have to worry about running out of memory for pictures when we’re away for a trip. Too bad the type of memory card for my point and shoot is different for the dslr that Ichi has or else we could just share the cards.

shoes for the cold

December 17th, 2008

I first came across UGG boots a few years ago and of course there was no point in getting one as I was in a tropical country where it never gets cold enough to wear boots. This year when we first arrived in Sydney it was the height of winter here and I thought of buying some boots to help keep my feet warm but with all the stuff happening I didn’t get around to it. Though am planning to get some for next winter, something like an Ugg Mayfaire.

safety concerns

December 17th, 2008

We were visiting with friends in Canberra over the weekend and they were telling us that the townhouse just beside them was broken into twice in the past weeks. It was a good thing that nobody was at home that time and that our friends were also not at home. The first time the LCD tv and video camera was taken along with some cash the second time there were fewer things taken. They did not get the laptops though even if it was in plain sight. It was really a cause of concern for our friends which is why they put away all their gadgets whenever they leave the house and make sure that all the precautions are there. Another thing that would probably be a good investment for additional security would be a wireless security system. Maybe we should look into that too.

holiday dinners

December 11th, 2008

With the Christmas holidays just around the corner, meet ups with friends and dinners with family to celebrate the holidays are inevitable. This is also the time of the year that most people forget about diets as lots of sumptuous foods are cooked for the holiday dinners. I miss having puto bumbong, hot chocolate and lechon (roasted pig) on Christmas eve. Probably a good idea to take note of the best fat burners to help lose all the weight gain after the holidays.

end of year picnic

December 7th, 2008

Last Saturday we went to Fitzgerald Park for the end of year picnic of E’s preschool. All the kids had fun playing at the playground and had their face painted. Too bad since we came a little late, E wasn’t able to get his face painted and he was really bummed about it, and made me promise to buy him some face paint so we can do it at home. A little after we arrived, Santa came and all the kids were happy to see him especially when it was time for gifts. Despite the heat, all of them were patient enough to wait for their names to be called. The gifts were wrapped with painting of the kids during their arts and crafts session.

sparkles

December 5th, 2008

As Christmas draws nearer, everyone has started to put up Christmas decors. A lot of the stores have different types of lighting decors available for you to choose from. It would be nice to put up some icicle lights along the doors to the balcony or maybe some fairy lights to outline the shape of the sliding doors. I wonder how the houses in the neighborhood will be decorated.

1,2,3,4 .. hi-5

December 2nd, 2008

The other Saturday we went to watch Hi-5 playtime at the Acer arena. Despite not feeling a 100% especially E, it was still a fun afternoon. A day before we learned from friends that this was one of the last performances of Kellie and Nathan with the group. The two are the last two original castmembers and it was nice that we got to see them perform live as E has been watching the show for 2.5 yrs now.

Waiting for the show to start

People are just starting to trickle in
