health stuff

November 10th, 2008

It is so important for us to take care of our health especially these days with all the rising costs and the economic crunch. One of the things that I’ve read on the internet is about colon cleansing. Which is basically cleaning out your colon to remove all the toxins. Some of the symptoms that we get from toxic overload are weight gain, fatigue, constipation, diarrhea and mood swings which if not corrected will also lead to more serious health problems. So maybe it’s time to look at all the different types of colon cleanser out there to see which would be the best one to go with. You know what they say an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

corporate gifts

November 7th, 2008

With the coming holiday season, most of the people in the gift industry are all busy filling up their orders to make their deliveries on time. I remember when I was still working in purchasing many moons ago that companies would start sending us their corporate gift brochures mid-year and will be calling us frequently to place our orders. When we do, it would be around this time when we would start receiving deliveries of our orders of either calendars, diaries or promotional pens depending on what would fit our budget that year. And I’m sure that even though these were just simple gifts that we sent to our clients that they appreciated being remembered during the holidays.

Was chatting with Jen a few weeks ago and after a while E and her daughter took over our computers and chatted.

choices

November 3rd, 2008

While chatting with a friend recently, our topic turned to finances and she mentioned that she was getting a term life insurance quote. She said that that was one of the options she was looking at. A lot of agents have been offering her varied insurance products that it makes her head spin. I wish I could help her out with the decision but ultimately it boils down to what returns you want, what you are looking for in the product and how much you can afford.

no celebrations

November 1st, 2008

Well, the supposed post-anniversary celebrations are still a no-go. Ichi’s business trip got extended at the last minute so instead of yesterday he will be back tuesday instead. While he was away I did manage to get a few things done (aside from chores that I am more than happy to delay haha!), first is to finalize E’s re-enrollment at his preschool for 2009 and second is to enroll him at I Can Read. He’s enrolled for the thinking and creative skills program until the end of the year.

THINKING AND CREATIVE SKILLS
Designed to stimulate the imagination and develop problem-solving skills using language. Encourages cognitive growth through oral presentation, dramatic play, introduction to phonology (a prerequisite for learning to read) and appreciation of story.

We were at the centre earlier and I was pleased to learn that they do try to keep the class to a maximum of 4 kids. I hope he’ll enjoy the sessions.

sunnies

November 1st, 2008

I find that since I arrived in Sydney three months ago, I have worn sunglasses more than the total number of times I’ve worn it the first half of the year. With that I think I’m now on the hunt for the perfect sunglasses. Of course if I had the extra dough I would go for the designer ones but I think the cheaper ones will also do the trick. Because aside from finding the right pair that looks good on you, we also have to make sure that it can really protect our eyes from the UV rays. Anyways, I think I’ll check out wayfarer sunglasses to have the vintagey feel.
