There is only one thing that can be considered “office furniture” in our house would probably be our computer table. It is where our computer, printer, supplies and other “office” stuff are housed. It would be nice to have one room where you can set up a mini-office where Ichi can do work when he works from home but then we don’t have the luxury of space. Maybe when we have our own place?

The place we moved to now is along the main road and some of our “neighbors” are car dealership. This one is right beside our building.

With the technology today and the access to it, it is amazing how many job search sites there are out there. I guess it would give anyone lots more work opportunities. Websites like the philadelphia job search site help to narrow down job leads in your local community or area. Are there any good part time work from home positions out there?

With every catalogue that I browse from the different stores like kmart or target, they always have promos for the different gaming consoles included. This week they have the xbox 360 console bundled with some games at a lower price than what you would normally get them for individually. It’s a huge discount, good thing we don’t particularly want or like to get an xbox, I think we’re more likely to get a wii, so the whole family can enjoy.

It’s the time of the year again to renew our car rego and insurance, with all the companies around, it is tempting to get insurance quotes from them to compare with our current provider. It is hard to choose just based on the coverage and premium. It always is a choice of wanting to spend less versus the company’s reliability. Right now the premiums are comparable so we’re still sticking with the current company. I think my brother switched to another one because the premium (for the same amount of coverage) was way lower than what he was paying.

With our recent move, we’d had to update our contact details for our home insurance. It also gave us a chance to reassess our coverage. The company gave us a couple of home insurance quotes for the new place. It’s also a good thing that the coverage automatically includes flooding, we are in a unit but then a neighbor mentioned that last year during the heavy rains, water seeped in from the balcony of all the units on our side. They’ve already fixed it so hopefully we don’t get to experience that.

A few months back there was a show on where the showed life threatening medical cases that only a few doctors will take it on. Some were lucky that the treatments given to them worked but in others it didn’t. One of the patients shown on the show had cancer (not mesothelioma though), a brain tumor which was considered the worst cancer and despite the high risks involved in the operation the patient was very willing to go through it which I totally get only to get the chance to go cancer free. And more and more shows with a similar premise are being produced nowadays.

Right now a lot of people in Manila are already or have made plans for the  upcoming Holy week holidays. In Manila, it starts on Thursday till Easter with a lot taking leave on Wednesdays. I think my mom and her friends initially was planning to go abroad but then settled on just touring locally. Their tour package sure is a lot different from Orlando vacation packages that were offered by the travel agency. Looks like it might be my brother who will take advantage of those offers when he visits the US this April.

One of the things that I have a hard time with is having adult acne. Just my luck that instead of going through it in my teens, it started after I graduated with college. Over the years, I have yet to find the perfect solution to it. While browsing through some websites on it, I saw some talking about nodular acne consists of acne spots which are much larger, can be quite painful, and can sometimes last for months. It is a severe form of acne vulgaris, which is in turn one of the different types of acne. If only there was a clear cut solution for acne.

Looking at some websites that other day trying to find some files and I can’t help but notice that most of the ads posted on sites that are ad-supported are on weight loss. One was even supposed to point to a review website that had reviews about the side effects of betastax and other diet pills. Now I don’t know if the get a lot of clicks through these ads but then I also wouldn’t be surprised if they had a lot as a lot of people really want to slim down quickly and easily.
